When I was young I remember going to a fishing and outdoors trade show. While I can’t remember any of the names of the companies, I can remember one trade show display. This booth had a large pool filled with fish. I think they were some kind of fish hatchery. My point is their booth stood out so much that I still remember it today. When planning a concept for your booth, the first thing you should do is create a concept that has no limitations. What would be your perfect eye catching quality that would make your booth memorable. Then once you put your financial and spatial restrictions on it you can at least know where you want the bulk of your money to go. If you have a product that needs to be touched and held, why spend loads of money on the background. You could put more money into really nice stands for your product and just get a few background banners that would essentially outline you booth. That way you are featuring your product, NOT your booth. Just a few things to keep in mind when you are planning for the next event.
